I’ve said it, I’ve sung it, I’ve argued it and I’ve defended it but in my humble opinion, to avoid ridicule, it needs a long awaited amendment. We’re by far the greatest CLUB the world has ever seen. Teams come and go, chop and change, fail and succeed - as the last 20 years have most definitely stood testament to - but one thing remains steadfast and that is that Manchester United Football Club is by far the best in world. Best loved, best supported (despite what you may witness in the Twitterverse) and definitely the ‘best-most’ envied 😬 - excuse my making up a word there for the sake of a third consecutive BEST 🤷♀️
What would the world of media have filled the last week with had it not been for our crushing defeat at the hands of the enemy on Sunday? Not even the Barca loss to Rayo Vallecano followed by a defeat in the El Clasico could distract from the piece by piece dissection of Man Utd tactics, management, leadership, playing style and team morale by almost anyone and everyone who could get their hands on a scalpel 🙁
NOTE: I say almost because there are still those who continue to support our magnificent club through thick and thin and refuse to be anything but positive to players and coach ❤️
No matter what age you decided (or it was decided for you) that Manchester United was going to be your club or for whatever reason you came to that decision (or that decision was made for you) to truly support a football club requires a defiant, some may say crazy, mentality.
It’s all too easy to fall out of love with your husband, wife, partner, even family but you NEVER fall out of love with your football club. Although there may be times when you don’t really like certain ‘associations’
I’ll admit it’s getting harder to be completely supportive of everyone at the club and I become more and more admirable of those who continue to do so by the minute. I never thought I’d find myself in a position where I’d be questioning Ole, the coaching staff OR any of the players but this week I’ve felt a wee bit of my own negatively creep in.
Has Ole taken the team as far as they can go with his level of experience?
Are players not developing/not responding well to the current coaching staff?
Has the arrival of Ronaldo upset the apple cart and is the dressing room in disharmony?
This is NOT criticism - these are simply questions I have found myself asking in an effort to understand what is going on (I prefer to ask myself as I usually get more favourable responses) and answers I have found myself contemplating privately.
As a general rule, publicly, I try and stay positive because the club we love is suffering. I can’t and won’t be part of that. ❤️🇾🇪
To come out and vehemently, or continually, criticise anyone you have to be willing to stand by your assertion and I for one would rather stubbornly foster my positivity and be proven wrong than be negative and proven right. Remember: no one likes a flip flopper 😉
Whether this recent ‘wobble’ is just an example of my, somewhat unwelcome, impressionable nature and I should seriously consider leaving Twitter ASAP, or whether this is an accumulation of small disappointments over the past couple of decades I can’t tell. I’m still awaiting the results of a full autopsy 😬 but, needless to say, I’ll be channeling my inner Einstein tomorrow and supporting Ole and the boys with everything I’ve got. Woe betide anyone who tries to silence me.
Undeniably, unwaveringly and Forever RED

Little late to this party (read 25.11.21) but your words echoed my values, self questions, emotions, and frustrations with E-Fans on social media. However your words are far more articulate than mine. Well done, keep up the good work, look forward to reading your articles on the latest developments. Nick
Excellent piece there Jax 👏 indeed without Manchester united the world would have nothing to write about, that's why Manchester united is the biggest club in the world 🔴⚽
